Modern infrastructure needs accurate, non-destructive methods to find buried utilities before any excavation. Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) is the industry-leading technique for safe, efficient subsurface exploration.

GPR uses high-frequency radio waves to image what lies below the surface and detects metallic and non-metallic objects — metal, plastic, PVC, concrete and natural materials — in real time.

Yes. Unlike metal detectors, GPR detects non-metallic utilities such as PVC and HDPE pipes as well as metal pipes and cables.

It depends on soil type and antenna frequency; typically a few metres in normal soils, with higher resolution near the surface.

Do you mark utilities on site?

Yes. Utilities are marked on the ground and delivered as CAD drawings with approximate depths.
